Are you running a server on your local computer?If so, which one. Who runs your intranet? Can they help?
Depending on what server you're running on what service, there're various bits and bobs out there.

Ah, you've lost meAll I needed to do (I say 'all' - what I really mean, is 'somehow, I need to try and...) is get everything uptogether and leave it all on my drive until its been tested, then everything can be handed over to people who know about this sort of thing for them to host.
What I'm not able to do, is to have it hosted remotely until IT have given it the thumbs up.

You'll needSome sort of server
A kind of message board software that'll run on that server with the correct services installed
More than the amount of time it appears you have to get it up, running and tested.
Personally I'd hold my hands up and tell your manager it's outside your capability.
