local news story
www.thisisexeter.co.uk/news/Mystery-man-pays-Exeter-mum-s-council-tax/article-1158875-detail/article.html

this stupid bint can't pay her council tax, and was complaining about it in the local paper. some mug has paid it for her. so basically she is being rewarded for financial incompetance.

plus, her son is called Rya'c. Her kids should be taken into care if she is going to treat them like that.

She called her son Rya'c?
Oh dear.

I don't usually comment on that sort of thing
but a name like that cannot be overlooked. I suspect that the mods on there won't allow my comment through though.

I wonder if they'll allow my comment
that if you name a child something like that you should have your arms and legs broken and then be forcibly wheeled about the town centre in a spack-chariot as a warning to others considering a 'unique' child's name that sounds like a fucking kingdom in a bad fantasy novel?

Let's give it a go...

doesn't look like mine has got through saying that kids should be in care
mainly until she can fucking afford them, but also if she is going to name them after a character from Stargate (I googled it)

Well
I'm very much relieved you had to Google it, old bean.

I didn't.
Much to my smug shame. However, a friend of mine has named her Jack Russell Teal'c, and I once had two fish called Hikaru and Sulu so all in all, not too bad.

Smug shame?
What a peculiar mixture of emotions...

How bizarre
For a start, and not wanting to judge a person by one small photograph (but I will anyway), she looks like she's more than entitled to council tax benefit. Therefore I suspect she was either too bone idle to get off her arse and chase it up.

Secondly, unless she lived in a Band F property, it's at least 12 months of arrears.

There was nothing to stop her going to Citizen's Advice and arranging an affordable payment plan. Unlike private creditors, councils are usually happy to take a payment of as little as a few quid a week.

I have no sympthy for her and think the person who paid it off is a mug.

what is it
with people and stupid names for their kids? I'm so bloody sick of hearing them say 'oh, I want a UNIQUE name for my child', meaning something totally made up. On another forum I sometimes look at, names such as 'brakkai' and 'olo' have been suggested (http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/783791-please-give-me-your-opinion-on-these-unusual-names)

wtf?!

although it was worse in America...

as for the council tax thing, totally agree - stupid bint.
