Ad this to your hosts file:
127.0.0.1 {tab} www.fmylife.com
Where {tab} is an actual tab space

Assuming you are using windows the hosts file should be stored in
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\

You'll need to be logged in as an administrator and remove the Read Only attribute before it'll save.

tried that and it didn't seem to work
think it must be to do with the network somehow

It might need a reboot after to make it work

Start - Run
cmd
in the black box type:
ipconfig /flushdns
then give it a go.
