The perceived threat that has been invented by Defra to give them something to do, rather than finger their arses all day.
Given that most proposed windfarms are offshore for starters, and that the evidence of the 'low pressure' fucking bats up is not exactly rigorous I wouldn't do a damn thing.

This is also the opinion of most of the heads of environmental charities.
The real issue with wind technology is that it's all new and there isn't any real incentive to research it along with solar power becuase the goverment has provided no incentives.

The "Low Pressure" isn't the real issue here.
A giant fan-blade is more likely to fuck a bat up.

There are a whole lot of suggestions as to how to prevent this. None have been put in to action, as far as I'm aware.
