Does anoyone else think that Ed Miliband looks like a stupid cunt
regardless of the fact that he does talk a lot of shit, even if he tried to talk a reasonable argument, he would still come across as a stupid lying cunt because of his stupid lying cunt face. He looks more tory boy than tim nice but dim.

If you're going to push coal power at least have the balls to admit that it will never be environmentally friendly. It may be cheap, it may make us less dependant on foreign countries for our energy needs, but it is not and will never be "clean".
Stupid cunt.

New coal fire power stations are cleaner than other fossil fuel alternative becuase of:
a) heat and carbon capture technology
b) carbon scrubbing and cleaner coal
c) reduced transport poultion from using easily accessible coal rather than oil or natural gas.
d) cheaper to build and less carbon intensive to build than other fossil fuel power sources.
e) the technology used to build the plants is developed and built in this country, creating jobs, reducing the carbon footprint of the whole project.
it's ignorant to simpy say 'clean coal' what a load of bollocks.

is cutting down the carbon emissions the real issue though?
running out of fossil fuels and therefore energy is the more demanding concern I would've thought, and nuclear fission in the short-term and fusion in the long are the most sensible answers to this.
particularly given how our delightfully abundant source of tidal energy is for all intents and purposes overlooked.

Of course they aren't
but there are ways of producing electricity that are orders of magnitude more environmentally friendly than others.
The fact is we are going to get lumbered with coal power stations, which have a life of say 50 years, due to pretending there wasn't a problem with our power generation for decades until at the last minute we don't actually have a choice but to plump for something we've done before.
Just because it's easy to build, doesn't make it the best choice.

The perceived threat that has been invented by Defra to give them something to do, rather than finger their arses all day.
Given that most proposed windfarms are offshore for starters, and that the evidence of the 'low pressure' fucking bats up is not exactly rigorous I wouldn't do a damn thing.
This is also the opinion of most of the heads of environmental charities.
The real issue with wind technology is that it's all new and there isn't any real incentive to research it along with solar power becuase the goverment has provided no incentives.
(
Richard Earl of Cambridge Cruel, Savage, Thu 16 Jul 2009, 15:08,

The "Low Pressure" isn't the real issue here.
A giant fan-blade is more likely to fuck a bat up.
There are a whole lot of suggestions as to how to prevent this. None have been put in to action, as far as I'm aware.
