Sad
Bah!

I'm feeling particularly shit this morning.
It was end of term last night, so the wife was out (again) enjoying herself. Me, I was at home with 3 kids - after being up since 4am, doing a 9 hour shift. When she evenually rolled in at 11, she was in possession of four bottles of wine - but as I was working at 5 this morning, I couldn't have any.
So, no real sleep in the past 72 hours. No alcohol for the last week and it's pissing with rain. Is it possible to get seasonal affective disorder in July?

So how shit is everyone else feeling this morning?

competitive tiredness
I haven't slept properly in 2 weeks, and am unlikely to in the next 10 weeks or so, then once baby arrives, am likely to get even less sleep. Am feeling like death warmed up. And I can't really drink, which makes it even worse. So I'm feeling very shit indeed.

small babies and sleeping
The best advice i can give you, is to sleep when your baby sleeps. Naps are brilliant, and should be taken at every opportunity. Don't get too hung up on housework, get the man to do that, or do it when you have had a nap.

Another great tip for soothing small babies is reasonably loud music, with plenty of bass, if possible. Dub reggae works a treat. This is best played in another room so that the vibrations can drift in and soothe baby into a Jamiacan flavoured slumber. It worked brilliantly for my 2 kids.

Other than that, best of luck!!

Marginally hungover
and pretty disgusted at the state of the beer farts.

I'm back at work tomorrow so kicked the arse out of it a bit with the help of the Wychwood brewery.

Big up the Wychwood Brewery!
Which of their fine beverages are giving you the problem? Hobgoblin gives me the most un-godly beer farts

Kinda crap.
Didn't sleep properly last night.
I've not had coffee or a smoke yet.
Terrible start to the day.

Not shit at all :0)
A good start to the day; a morning kiss from the mrs, a big hug and a kiss from my son, a nuzzle from the cat, ciggie, coffee, watch morning TV with the nipper sat on my knee being nuzzley and cute while he has his milk, get dressed, smoke, walk to work and here I am!!!

Morning all...
...I had a bad dream this morning and woke up extremely relieved to find chickenlady snoozing away peacefully next to me.

I tried to catch up on sleep on the train, but thanks to the (intentionally no doubt) uncomfortable seats and the girl having a noisy conversation on her phone sat opposite I got bugger all sleep.

Grr....

Reading this stuff first thing in the morning is enough to make anyone feel rotten
not least the beardy basement-dwelling satyrs that reside here.

I have a beard
And my post was full of joy.

From your profile picture, I suspect a morning kiss from whatever wanton beast is prepared to let you defile her
would not fill me with joy.

Also, in responce to 'Is it possible to get seasonal affective disorder in July?'
No, becuase its a bullshit disease invented by panda-eyed self-hating emos to justify feeling 'a bit down'
