Hello you lot!
We're in the middle of a heatwave - yes, it may be Southern California but the temperatures average around 75 degrees at this time of year, today it hit 90 degrees at 11am.
So my questions is, should I go to the pool and sunbathe, or clean my apartment?

No sunbathing.
Pale and interesting FTW!

Fair enough.
I burn like a mofo anyway no matter how much sunblock I use.
It's funny, you can always tell the Brits over here - they are all burned and usually wearing an England football shirt.

Nah, he's on talk
it's a fig tree/plant
(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 21:38, Reply)
ooohhh
I get it. Plants are fun but you cant really call them a pet
(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 21:41, Reply)
I had a cactus in college that I named rosie. But I had it because pets weren't allowed
I didn't think of it as a pet, I just named it as I talk to my plants to make them grow better.
(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 21:43, Reply)
did it work?

(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 21:52, Reply)
Sure it works
I wouldn't do it otherwise
(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 21:59, Reply)
what was the improvement over the controll group?

(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 22:01, Reply)
I didn't have a control group as such
but my flatmate's ones tended to die or be heavily stunted. However that could have had something to do with excessive levels of Mary Jane being smoked in close proximity to them.
(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 22:03, Reply)
that is not a fair test
Ill have to repeat the tests using my own plants
(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 22:07, Reply)
If I tried doing it now I'd fail since I forgot to water all my plants on my balcony and any I try to keep indoors, my cat eats for me.

(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 22:09, Reply)
NOM cats love to eat plants

(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 22:13, Reply)
Yup, that's good enough reason for me to never buy lillies ever again

(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 22:15, Reply)
listen to your inner Calvinist...
tidy the apartment then go out in the evening rays and being a pastey bugger you'll still manage to burn.
i'm so pastey that when the summer arrives it takes me 4 weeks to go white...
(, Sun 19 Jul 2009, 21:24, Reply)
sunbathe
trying to clean will just end up with a layer of sweat over everything
