...were employed on the Apollo project.
The third stages of several Saturn V rockets can be seen on the moon.
A 330 foot tall rocket was seen lifting off from Cape Kennedy and disappearing into the sky.
I think that covers it for me.

but tbh, 100,000 people involved in the project wouldn't surprise me. That's like half the population of Portsmouth. That's a lot of people to keep quiet.
It's very difficult to get the moon, but on the whole, calculating the telemetry is only A-level maths. NASA will have recruited some of the cleverest people in America, not to mention the zeal to get to the moon before the Soviets first. It probably wouldn't happen nowadays, it seems there is none of that bravado anymore that they had back then. Bush's "Let's go back to the moon" speech was largely forgotten within a week. Kennedy's speech in 1961 is still awe inspiring nearly 50 years on.
I used to collect the magazine "Fortean Times" back in the late 90s and there was a feature on the moon landing hoax. I read that article the other day and it was ridiculous. The reasons and evidence behind the claims were laughable.
