I cried when I watched The Lion King

I watched the Lion King in my room at uni
with my girlfriend and best mate and another friend who studied Maths.

"The animals don't all talk to each other in real life do they?"

I'm surprised he managed to dress himself in the morning.

We watched The Snowman at uni
Didn't realise how ludicrously welsh "We're walking in the air" sounded until then.
Bringing a proper Christmas movie for next term (muppets Christmas carol!)

I also knew someone who
hated the Lion King with a mighty passion as he had a traumatic experience during his school days. Him and a group of friends turned up to the cinema to watch it but one girl point blank refused to be seen associated with him so the group went in to watch it without him and he had to go home.

He didn't take too kindly to my empathetic advice.

"Dave, I can see you're still hurt by this but I've got two words that will solve all your problems: Hakuna Matata."

I cried at Terminator 2
when Arnie had to go in the nasty, melty, burny tank. I was at the cinema, with a lap full of soggy hankies, sobbing, "I don't want Arnie to die". Must've been in my early 20s then (I'm 40 now).
