What's good to see in South West France then?
I'm thinking of driving down with the 'lids et al, to Carcassonne etc... and maybe that Aragon, where the dinosaurs are.

What's good to see down that way?

The Millau Viaduct
I think for sheer bridgy awesomeness this is No.1

Just a pity it is not a suspension bridge, only a cable stay bridge. Appologies for bridge geekyness, but go and see it, and go on it too.

Don't know your route
so this could be a bit out of the way but Bayeux west of Caen is where the Bayeux Tapestry is held.

I found it really cool. I looked very closely at the stitching and concluded that the arrow went in King Harald's head and not his eye.

The bridge, I'd forgotten about that - that's now going on the list.

Seen the tapestry, but it's far, far too north for where we're going.

Dover--Paris--Poitiers(I have a house there that I should really check on)--Bordeauz--Biarritz--Zaragoza(Arragon)--Lerida--Barcelona--Andorra--Carcassonne--Toulouse--Limoges--Milau(If I can fit it in)--Paris--Clermont-Ferrand(if going via Milau)--Dover.

Phew - I only hope I can fit this into 8 days!
