In fact, anything by the Coen Brothers. I can't help it. I know I should like them, but I don't.

Also, Pulp Fiction. Blah blah blah, cinema genius, blah blah blah. Sooner or later someone will realise that Tarantino, excellent director that he is, can't write for toffee.

I didn't like No Country for Old Men either
and none of my friends and family can understand why.

I'd say his writing is his strongest attribute
True Romance is an excellent movie, penned by Tarantino. As is Natural Born Killers.

It's precisely because his dialogue is snappy and his characters are interesting that so many people rave about his writing skills. I would agree that his stories lack believability, but I'd argue that his speciality is comic book-style storylines, not real-world drama.
