Top Gear
was recorded last night, is it worth an hour of my time or will it follow the trend of the previous few episodes and be disappointing?

It was bad
And I say that as someone that still likes it on the whole.

It was grim
Very, very grim. Waaaaay too obviously scripted without even giving us a chance to hold on to any belief that any of it is just them interacting. Furthermore, the jokes and banter were cheap tasteless laughs (but without the laughs) rather than anything clever. The last two minutes are worth watching for the Aston Martin bit, but you can safely forward wind over the rest and save 58 odd minutes of your life. All in all, I rate it fuck all out of 10 and I was a fan until this "series".

It was
a bit pants, to be honest. I still like Top Gear, and I generally try to catch it when it's on...but I don't think I really needed to bother this week. Shame really - the repeats on Dave are better!

I agree
the adverts for the VW were quite amusing, and the last 2 minutes were wonderful - very relaxing and lovely - but otherwise it was total mince, and made me glad that the series has ended.

(if you want something REALLY GOOD to watch, download 'Breaking the Mould' from BBC4 - fucking awesome drama, and I can't wait until the spanish flu episode tomorrow - best thing the BBC have made in years)
