At my grandmother's house
where thankfully silence currently reigns. I do love the old dear - must do if I'm prepared to drive hundreds of miles to see her - but when she goes on about money (lack of) when

a) she knows I haven't worked for a year and
b) she has 33K just in her current account

it takes great self-control not to get narked.

Thank God for the unsecured WiFi her neighbour has. That's all I can say.

In a minute she'll ask me if I want a cuppa. For the seventh time in the last 15 minutes.

Why doesn't she have an afternoon nap like most old un's ? She's 95 ffs.

Right, time to get back to social intercourse...

Bah, grandmothers are not always fun...
and I admire your self-control in not going postal since I struggle not to lose my temper literally every time I see mine. She's very shallow and thinks that I am not deserving of her eternal and unwavering love since I a) am not a size zero b) can't drive c) drink and d) haven't spoken to my father in over a year because he is equally controlling. Bah. And she doesn't even have unsecured wifi nearby!
