I'm finally back home.
After spending the past month traveling around I'm home for the foreseeable future. My kitties have been pretty much snuggled up against me since I arrived last night, my bird has been making a LOT of noise whenever I'm out of eyesight, and I still have to sort through an assload of mail- but I'm home, and happy to be here.

All that driving took more than a little toll on me- I'm exhausted and plan to spend the rest of the day snuggling kitties. Dinner will be whatever I have in the freezer.

There really is quite a bit to be said in favor of staying put for a while...

Tomorrow morning will be the first weekend I will be waking in my house in over a month. I can almost taste the lie-in.

In the freezer, yes.
The fridge? Not so much. I was smart enough to get rid of most of it before I went, and what was bad I got rid of between trips.

The Big Black Fluffy Thing has been especially snuggly today, and the Stoned Siamese has been next to me on the chair pretty much non-stop.

It's nice to be wanted, even if it is just for kitty food and a clean litterbox.
