But they have potentialthat wasn't actually realised. None of the original Nightmare films were that scary, but the concept is terrifying. A man who kills you in your dreams, that's a scary thought. But due to low budgets it wasn't well executed and then it was destroyed by sequels.
Actually, Friday has far less potential as it's just a generic slasher pic. I thought Jason X was really funny and an excellent way of making a jumpy horror film which was also funny.
