I'm not sure if I'm currently single.
I'm trying to be, though. I seem to have got stuck with someone I don't much like a lot of the time, and whom I don't much fancy. The relationship doesn't make me happy. However, I seem unable actually to end it; it's taking a long time to die.

I've tried the "I don't want to go out with you any more" approach; I've tried neglect; I've tried "I dislike your child". None works.
