Faulks may have missed the point a touch...... but he's correct nonetheless. The Koran is relentlessly, dull; it's also painful to read at times: you just end up yelling "Why on Earth would anyone take this stuff seriously?".
Faulks reckons the NT is better. It is. But that's really not high praise.

I was going to read the KoranI thought it might save my life if I was kidnapped by terrorists. Then I read that most extremeists are offended by its translation from Arabic and decided against it as I dont want my balls chopped off before my head.
