Best TV show of my childhood by a country mileI was allowed to eat supper on my own in the sitting room in front of the TV when Monkey was on - the one and only programme where this was allowed. My parents understood my love of the show and thus granted me a special dispensation.
I played the theme tune in a trendy Shoreditch bar only last Friday and practially the entire place sang along.
Which was nice.
