I won a competition for a pair of earrings that say 'I love cake'!
Woo!

Have you ever won a competition and what did you win?

and a Monkey! t-shirt.
the question: was Tripitaka played by a man or woman?
the answer: a woman
I was probably the only loser to enter.
I also won Patricia Michelson's book The Cheese Room on a Jewish website (don't ask - there was some insider dealing, pretty sure once again that I was the only entrant).
So there you go. Monkey! and cheese - two of my favourite things.

I loved Monkey...it was great getting into school on a Monday morning to discuss what had happened on Friday night's episode with the only other viewer in my class, Nicholas - he now makes prosthetic limbs.
Ahh...those were the days, I think I was nine.

I was allowed to eat supper on my own in the sitting room in front of the TV when Monkey was on - the one and only programme where this was allowed. My parents understood my love of the show and thus granted me a special dispensation.
I played the theme tune in a trendy Shoreditch bar only last Friday and practially the entire place sang along.
Which was nice.

through a competition I don't remember entering. It was to do with the Push! Which University Guide (or something) when I was in 6th Form. I suspect that I only had to fill out my name and address, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered entering.
It took a while for me to get my prize after being notified, so I was fairly convinced it was a piss take by one of my mates.

in a Star Wars competition. The competition involved a one page comic strip that ended on a cliffhanger. To enter, you had to complete the comic strip in no more than a page.
I won an Ewok figure :/

If I make a joke about somebody else's daughter sucking them off, then it's always hilarious

a Star Wars competition. When episode 1 of Star Wars came out, WHSmith were running a Star Wars themed fancy dress competition. I was 13-ish, I think, and it was in the summer holidays. I went as Darth Maul, and got through to the national finals - although this is probably because I was the only person sad enough to enter in my area. I got a t-shirt (which I still have somewhere, because it came down to my 13yr old knees), a book on the various technology in the films, and how it was CGI'd, and a nice £25 Smiths voucher. Sadly I have no pics, or I would proudly post them.
Best thing my brother has ever won is a rather nice Hyundai Coupe. Cunt.

I won £5 at age 8 for making 63 words out of the word 'marmalade'
About the same time I won an album of cigarette cards in a twist (an ancient dance-form for those of you under 40) competition.
I don't win anything these days.

a digital camera in some online competition through Jessops - thought they were taking the piss at first. I had to complete the phrase 'If I had a sony digital camera, I would take photos of...', and I wrote 'the world according to me' because I was heavily into John Irving books at the time. it was a lovely little camera too!
My mum won 50 quid for completing a phrase on a pack of coleman's mustard - we think she may have been the only entrant though.

but as an aside, I absolutely love that website! I like to think I balance domesticity and sluttery.

a holiday to Vegas. It was one of those cinema comps where you have to answer a question about the film you just saw. For better or worse Con Air will always have a place in my heart.
