It's a genuine story,
and I'm so glad the young woman had the guts to finally stand up for herself.
Remember Fritzl, and prior to that the young girl in Holland that was held captive for 10 years?
Latest story in the OC Register/LA Times is that the guy had a random probation check and admitted he was the one that kidnapped her.

Sad all round.

I'm not saying it's not genuine.
I am questioning the part of the stepfather in all of this.

I have no doubt that the girl was really abducted.
