We've got wildfires burning up in Los Angeles.
I'm sat in my apartment with the air conditioning on 'cos it's just too bloody hot to hang out by the pool.
The cats are hanging out in the bedroom under the bed and there's water in every room for them.
I think I need a nice cold beer!

It's August bank holiday weekend. When I was a nipper they were hot.
It's cold and pissing it down.
There was a week in June (which I managed to book off) when it was hot and sunny.
That's it - again - for the Great British Summer.

From November-March, nights get down as low as 30 degrees F, but during the day it could still be 85 degrees or as low as 68 degrees.
Summers are usually averaging around 75-80 degrees but the last few days have been insane!

As you know, I love California and I'll be there again next year.
But I'd miss our weather. I love the seasons here, even though this summer has been shite again.
Ten years ago I had the chance of moving to Northern Florida and turned it down.
If I think about it, maybe I regret it a little bit but soon we'll get crisp, frosty autumns and then I'll be happy I made the right choice.

it even smelled like autumn.
i'm not talking november or anything, just a touch of mid-to-late-september on the breeze...

Santa Barbara (for the art gallery) April 28th.
LA (to meet my mates) April 29th.
Then we're off overland.
If you can get to either on those dates I can sort out a room for you.

When I was travelling through Northern Florida by train, I saw a lot of what looked like shanty-towns (the sort you see in third world countries). At least the climate there is decent during Winter. But in Miami, even in Winter it was too hot and humid. Gah!

Being the European that I am, I at first thought Centigrade. It doesn't get that hoty anywhere on Earth (except possibly the London Underground at summer).
I'm slightly drunk BTW
