Oh bacon...Covered in lovely adrenal froth. I'm craving bacon, but I'll have to go all the way to Tesco because all the shops near me are pig-free.

Is that becauseyou live in an area inhabited mainly by Jews, Muslims or other religious groups who eschew the meat of the swinebeast, or because you're next door to B&Q and Wickes?

I live in a multicultural areainnit. About 12 years ago when I first moved in, I asked the proprietor of one shop if he had any boiled ham. He chuckled and said "No luv." and one of the counter girls looked round nervously. It took ages for the penny to drop. Then I turned maroon.
