I didn't see it
But a colleague says he said something like "here we go, a year of my life" before revealing the answer. So, we reckon he spent a year intricately filming every combination, or enough to be able to splice the reveal into the live feed.

Similar to how he did the trick of predicting the winners in horse races, he bet on every outcome, filmed it all, and only showed the winning combination.

Ahhh see that's what I was wondering about
I was trying to work out if it would end up being a similar sort of trick, like the horse races... that was a-mazing! But the Lotto was LIVE... LIVEEEEEE!

He's the kind of guy to spend a year filming every combination of lotto balls
And also the guy to use the same trick as last time, just to fuck with you.

Exactly
He hurts my brain in so many different ways!

See comment below regarding recording combinations

Mine too
I like him.

But he has said
that it's a trick you can perform at home. And he's hardly going to have this much build up and go "Ta-Da! It was a camera trick" And there is no possible way they could have filmed every combination that the lottery could produce. It's far too time consuming.

Over 13 million combination. Ten minute slot

So that's 130 million minutes. How many minutes in a year? 525600.

I didn't see the show
But he might only have to film the reveal, so 10 seconds maybe?
(, Thu 10 Sep 2009, 10:24, Reply)
There was no cut in the film
And I don't think it's going to be as crap as "Camera Trick"

Hmmmm...
I guess we shall have to all wait until Friday then... I'll end up being confused lots I'm sure.

Just sit and look at your husband instead.
That will restore your feelings of intelligence and superiority.

Hahahaha
Ooooh he's gonna read that and get mad!! Thing is he's actually very clever... he makes me feel quite stupid, unless we're talking about forensics, the Romans or ancient Egypt... they are my better subjects!
(, Thu 10 Sep 2009, 10:31, Reply)
you should totally be a time-travelling detective!

(, Thu 10 Sep 2009, 10:34, Reply)
That would be
WICKED! I wish I was!!

I am currently debating on doing some sort of forensics course, maybe in pathology or entomology... I'm interested in weird crap!
(, Thu 10 Sep 2009, 10:37, Reply)
it sounds like interesting stuff
you should do it, and then, when time travel becomes available you can get a position as detective
(, Thu 10 Sep 2009, 10:38, Reply)
That's so crazy it
just might work!! :D

Fairy muff
I didn't see it, but was intrigued by the reported (by my mate) comment of "a year of my life".

I'd love it if, on Friday, he reveals that he's actually genuinely magic, and summons up giant flaming robots to storm Parliament and Buckingham Palace and appoint himself Almighty Leader of England.
