I know how you feel...After living for 2 years with my girlfriend (1 year in India, 6 months in the UK then 6 months in Canada) I'm now back in England whilst she is studying in Montréal.
It sucks really hard, but one thing I've learned is that I now value my privacy much more. It's nice to be able to do what I want, when I want. Although I miss her terribly and wish I could be with her - there are upsides.
Go out and find them, enjoying yourself does not mean you've forgotten about her. Trust me ;)
