Why Oh Why?!?!?!Why do people have such a problem with anything that sells? The music industry is like most in that the cream rises to the top.
If that amazing band you like disappear without a trace after one album, it probably because they were shit or didn't have a broad enough appeal.
Just because something sells ten million copies doesn't make it crap, in fact quite the opposite. People get confused between music and art, music is made to entertain, art is made to inspire and provoke. Most people want to be entertained.
Sorry to waffle, but I despise this high and mighty attitude, the art over entertainment pretentious bollocks.......oh and I fucking love The Libertines, pure timeless melodies :-)
