So-so.
Rushed off my feet at work - every single train was delayed yesterday - and getting to grips with my guitar.

Yourself? :)

not so bad petal, not so bad.

Am thinking along similar lines
despite having a well-stocked freezer. May nick some of Flatmate's chips.

stolen chips!
FTW

i think i fancy a fried egg...

Eh, you can have the egg. Don't like them.
I'm currently wondering if I am, in fact, tone deaf, since I cannot for the life of me tune the guitar...

i'm saying nowt!
did you get yourself an electronic tuner or a tuning fork?
it's easy once you get your bottom string tuned, then you can do the others off intervals...

i haven't picked up a guitar in about 4 years...

I'm using one I found on the internets
but may have to borrow one off one of the guys at work... and am starting from the top E so that may explain the problems :(

I can get them in the right order of pitch, but I can't seem to make them sound like the schematic in front of me...
(, Tue 29 Sep 2009, 20:56, Reply)
start with the bottom string and work upwards...
that way you can tune the 2nd string off the first.
simples...
(, Tue 29 Sep 2009, 21:23, Reply)
I shall do this.
And I love it when people say "simples".

i love it when people say i love it about things i say!
i picked up the guitar in a truley offensively short period of time. basically i learned, in 2 hours, what it took my ex-wife 6 months to learn. and she was the one teaching me. and she was the one in a band.
which she didn't like...
(, Tue 29 Sep 2009, 21:29, Reply)
The truth is that I have little to no musical talent
hence the struggling to tune the guitar. I sing a perfect third out of tune. I think I've got the D as good as it can get, though the bottom E is giving me grief!

have you no-one there helping you?
one-to-one lessons are the way forward.
if you can find somenoe who'll trade lessons for food...
(, Tue 29 Sep 2009, 21:36, Reply)
Nope - my flatmate's at work and I'm using the internets for assistance.
I may well go into work tomorrow and throw myself on my supervisor's mercy, since he's an expert. I may also have to promise never to rickroll him again...
(, Tue 29 Sep 2009, 21:38, Reply)
if that's the price you need to pay!
LOL

right, that's me out of here i'm afraid!

catch you later dude!

My supervisors and I enjoy rickrolling one another
so if promising to only rickroll Supervisor 2 and not Supervisor 1 is what it takes to not make a twat of myself, it's a small price to pay!

I have, however, learned to make a lovely Spanishy mishmashy sound :D

Catch you later x
