If you hear someone being told off
or if visiting friends and one of them delivers a good put-down to their partner (the snappier the better), then it is required that you interject with "Get told!"

Friend (to partner): "Are you going to go put the kettle on then or what?"
Partner: "You invited him, you do it!"
Noely Noel: "Get told! Haha"

That does sound like me.

Though
it might sound odd coming from someone over the age of 18 at the most. You might sound like someone who's trying to "get down with the yooths". A bit like shiny-faced PM wannabe, David Cameron

My mate's almost 40.

It'll be all the more effective then
especially if he's older than you. Even more so if you're at most in your late teens like PsychoChomp.

If that's the case, he may be grooming you (your mate, not PsychoChomp)

We do "Get told!"
Or "Get buzzed-off!"
[To 'buzz-off' (to mock) is not the same as to 'buzz off' (to leave quickly)]
