You can be as sorry as you likebut it simply isn't true. My Wharfdales sound fantastic. I have a pair of Fostex active Monitors which I use for recording and they also sound great.

I can't remember off the top of my headI seem to recall them being Opus, but I can't find a picture of them on the internet to compare. They are about ten years old, and have a tweeter that actually protudes above the main cabinet and you can rotate it (a gimmick really, I've never rotated them)
