I used to love it as a kid because we'd go sledging.
I used to love it as a young adult because I was a fat bastard and didn't feel the cold, and drove a beat up Vauxahll Cavalier which would go anywhere in snow and it didn't really matter if I scraped it on a wall.
Nowadays I have lost weight, shiver at the thought of frost and don't much like driving in snow in case I skid and fall off the road. Not that my car's much use in the slippy stuff anyway, what with its wide tyres and all.
And unlike some of my friends I have absolutely no desire to go on a skiing holiday!

I like warm weather too but I hate the in-between days (wasn't that a single by The Cure?)when it's warm and damp or cool and damp. I hate damp weather - it makes me feel sweaty.
Cold weather also means I can get out my large selection of high lace up boots out.

Dear god, I seem to be channelling the long dead spirit of Al Capone.

Surely it can't just be me that ends up with a back like the woman in the old Sure adverts (but without the giant tick) just from walking half a mile to work? This is England, not the tropical rainforest!
