i thinkthe monument (at monument tube) commemorates it, you could show them some pictures of that?

Yes it doesThe Monument was originally intended for the site where the Great Fire started, Pudding Lane. However, the owners of the land didn't want to sell so it was built nearby. If you toppled it over in the right direction, the golden crown would land on the spot where the fire started.
This is not an endorsement of the Monument itself. As a friend once put it:
"when you've seen everything else in London, then --and *only* then-- should you go to see the Monument"
