night in nodnol
Been a while since I was in London town but I'm seeing Muse at the O2 in Nov. Due to a total result - in that all the women have dropped out, instead of 2 couples its now 4 blokes so can have my first boys night out in a year. However, I havent lived there for 6+ years now so a bit rusty.

4 of us - 30 somethings and one 42 year old, need some late night drinkies in somewhere that isnt completely west-end and shit. Would prefer a series of venues rather than one quiet pub, I would like to stagger down a nice road full of bars and pubs and clubs really and possibly even ones where they have the nice topless ladies at the end seeing as we're all a bit predictable and chavvy when drunk. My friends who have never been south of Cheshire, except for the odd business trip think it would be a jolly wheeze to go the west end and end up in Stringfellows or Spearmint Fucking Rhino. They havent a fucking clue, and I need to come up with the goods really.

I'm thinking Islington maybe? Its not too "young" is it? Also need somewhere to stay that isnt totally shit. Anyone got any suggestions?

Just outside Highbury and Islington station and downstairs from the Great cock pub - One to be avoided as it's shit.

Failing that, most pubs within spitting distance of Camden station are ok for a night and there's the Electric Ballroom just up from it.

Why you'd pay money to see Muse is beyond me though!

it's a nice pub. There is the Angelic just up from Angel tube too, that's a decent boozer, actually all the pubs around Angel station are pretty good.

Caledonian Road is quite fun for a pub crawl
and there is a pub called The Flying Scotsman at the Kings Cross end which has ladies with their tits out.

They then walk around with a pint glass collecting change afterwards.

but if you're going to the O2 and like tits go out in Shoreditch - there are hundreds of bars and Hackney Rd has a few strip bars, and a tour of them is on the way to the O2, by the time you've done Metropolis you could pile into a cab and get to Greenwich in no time.

Not my scene (rather like Muse), but I live here so I know.

There's a Holiday Inn on Old Street and a Days Hotel on Hackney Rd - shite but serviceable and not extortionate.

There's a nice few bars
near enough to Angel/Islington near the Hoxton Road and Barings.

Both are close enough to wander into a strip bar/ladies territory of either Angel or Shoreditch.
