I've been pulled over twice
for speeding. The first time I was doing 60 in a 45 zone, but the officer was English and let me off.
The 2nd time was doing the boring ass drive back from the mountains, just as the cop was about to write the ticket there was a crash right by us on the freeway - he just said "it's your lucky day" and got on his bike to deal with the crash
