I said "I work in IT and thats poor logic. Most computers will go wrong at some point regardless of make. Especially when its a software problem. The reason we fix more Dells and Acers is because a lot of people have Dells and Acers."
I always suggest that if you have a budget get the best spec you can for the money and don't worry about branding. You'll have a warranty regardless.

Good advice thereI've had a couple of pretty cheap Acers and they have been excellent, and when little things have gone wrong their customer service has been incredible.
