Hallo there
Because I be fairly drunk I thought I would ask 2 questions for you lovely OT people.

1) What are your personal experiences with Dell?
My computer borked (systems registry was corrupt and wouldn't load windows) It took them a week to deliver the correct CD's to me (which weren't supplied originally and they wanted to charge me 35 feckin quid!) Long story short only one guy went out of his way to help me and save my documents. The rest of the company can go screw itself.

2) What can I expect from Easyjet?
I understand some of you have used them before and i'm wondering what they are like as I fly with them next wednesday. Not getting my hopes too high though, tried changing a flight in december which would have cost £37.50 flight-change fee each way and then the price difference for each flight. Something like £116 all total

I can answer both questions with one one reply
You get what you pay for. Both Dell and Easyjet compete on price, not quality so set your expectations accordingly.

easyjet are ok
As Chart Cat says, you get what you pay for. Treat it like a flying bus and you'll be okay. at least it isn't ryanair!

A girl yesterday said to me....
"My friend in IT says Dell and Acer are shit cos he has to repair more of them than any other laptop"

I said "I work in IT and thats poor logic. Most computers will go wrong at some point regardless of make. Especially when its a software problem. The reason we fix more Dells and Acers is because a lot of people have Dells and Acers."

I always suggest that if you have a budget get the best spec you can for the money and don't worry about branding. You'll have a warranty regardless.

Good advice there
I've had a couple of pretty cheap Acers and they have been excellent, and when little things have gone wrong their customer service has been incredible.

Morning!
I've not had a bad experience with Easyjet, but that doesn't mean bad experiences can't be had... However, they're cheap enough that a lack of legroom/other luxury doesn't really matter, but they don't compromise on safety. And, of course, they're not Ryanair.
