Dio has one of the greatest voices in the history of rock
Ozzy really doesn't. The second disc of Past Lives is fucking shit (in quality) and they shouldn't have released it like that, it's a massive insult to the fans listening to it that it sounds like a bad transistor radio recording.

Heaven and Hell and I think to a greater extent Mob Rules piss over any other Sabbath album as a whole, Ozzy had some superb tunes and they work well with his voice, Dio doing Ozzy era songs doesn't work too well, but Dio's tunes are just out and out better.

Dio did take himself too seriously, personally I blame Blackmore, stupid cunt, he was okay before he met him, but he did take a step back and embrace the humour of what he does in the late 90s and now he pissess all over Ozzy, who hasn't done anything good since No More Tears, and even that is nothing like as good as Blizzard of Ozz.

I would however say that I think Bill Ward
is a much more interesting drummer than Vinny Appice, I think it was Iommi that said he would do anything to keep the beat moving on, and if you listen to early Sabbath, especially albums three four and five, he hardly plays a single straight 4:4 bar, he's going crazy all over the shop and it sound fucking brilliant and was a major contribution to that Sabbath sound.

Ozzy's done little of merit
since Volume 4, I'd say...

Again, I disagree
I personally reckon Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage are the highlights of his Sabbath, and Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman are also really good.

Thing to remember, is that he didn't write any of the songs in early sabbath, it was all Iommi and Butler. Ozzy is a good frontman in need of a much better songwriter and band.

Heaven and Hell (Or Sabbath Mark III) have everything, the awesome frontman, the great voice, the superb musicians and great songwriters.

At times an INCREDIBLE frontman I'd say
The footage of them the Ontario Speedway in California doing Children of the Grave is fucking hilarious. He has a crowd the size of Woodstock eating out of his hand in seconds.
