Trouble is, people love to tell me the details
Especialy the ones about when I told "The beach story" or who I wound up with, or where. I'd love to remain blissfully ignorant, and even if they're making half of it up I still have some serious apologies to make, mostly to my liver.

There are three people in the world
who have sworn never to tell me the details of things I have done and said on specific occasions that I can't recall, but know deep down were awful.

y'see I tend to select a fairly large audience for such things
so there's always SOMEONE who knows vaugely what happened, or at least can hazzard an embarrasing enough guess

Yeah but...
When I bump into peripherals, I just act like I know what happened and they generally stay vague. People only enjoy it if they think they're the ones telling you something awful that you didn't know.

That's quite a good plan!
I should try it sometime. But part of me needs to know what happened, otherwise my imagination and sense of dread will fill in the details, and that's always gonna be worse

It might not be worse...

I dunno
I have a pretty twisted imagination
