I'm not a huge fan of doctors - don't currently have a GP - and will only go if something is actually hanging off me or I suspect I'm dying. They don't care too much for me either!

I don't go unless I'm seriously ill, and I was pretty sick when I went--had been coughing, wheezing, sniffling for about two weeks, still took two weeks after than to get somewhat back to normal.
Cunt.

sex and life in spite of knowing the actual facts! The last thing you want when you think you're ill is, after all, someone telling you you're just fine when you know you're not. Do second opinions cost you in the US?

If you don't have insurance it costs you out of the wazoo for hospital visits, but thankfully there is a relatively cheap office with loads of doctors you can go to around here. Which is where she was.
I just remembered she wasn't even a doctor, she was a resident.

If she wasn't even a doctor, even more reason for her to be considered to be talking out of her arse, says I... nurses with ideas above their station are also shockingly bad.

My friend's grandfather is in ICU, they thought he was going to die and when we went to go visit him the nurse in that station totally bitched us out, told me and her boyfriend to go wait in the waiting area. Waiting Room Nazi, I called her after that.

The one who used to replenish my pill supply at uni used to act like treating me was more than her job's worth because I clearly should be able to do these things by ESP...

I was in the hospital a couple weeks ago overnight, I just got a bill for $4K, but as I'm officially "unemployed" there's a great program that means the bill is only $500. Yay!
