I got my mum this one for christmas.www.ebuyer.com/product/174567
She managed to get it out of me what I was getting, and isn't happy, so I said "OK, no probs, we'll count this as something I've brought for myself that I just happen to leave here, and i'll get you something else".
Mum doesn't currently have any kind of DVD player, so I thought it would be great, and I can bung a whole load of xvid/divx stuff on there for her, so she can catch up with Heroes, House, Lost and all her other faves.

Surely thats just a blu ray player rather than a media whatsamajigso to play divx / xvid stuff you'd need to bung it on an optical disk of some description first. Which is a pain in the arse. Unless I've missed something.
