I used to feed my old housemate's shih tzu the bones from my tasty tasty ribs and her shit was always white after that.

dont give rib bones even to small animals - they can splinter like needles and really fuck them up. only large bones are suitable for animals to gnaw

You will be fine feeding dogs any sort of bone. So long as it is raw. It is cooked bones that splinter.

I regularly feed our dogs raw chicken carcasses.
