Get a "1080p" one with at least 3 HDMI ports.
It's worth spending a bit more for that, as it futureproofs the whole thing for the next 10 years or soo.

The only reason for holding back these days is this '3D' thing they're bringing out next year, but the examples of it that I've seen are rubbish.

I think your wise advice has made my decision

I have a mate
who worked until recently for Sky. They are OBSESSED with 3D TV but acknowledge that until the need for silly glasses is removed it will remain strictly a novelty.

Do you really want to watch EastEnders in 3D?

Or even at all?

3D is only good for kids' film at the cinema.
That Channel4 3D was pony.
It hurt my eyes and looked like a collage.

couldn't agree more
why have you suddenly started using lots of rhyming slang?

I always use rhyming slang
But I thought that ^ was the first instance today.
My dad taught me loads when I was a kid. My favourite is handing someone a drink and saying "Here, get that down your Gregory Peck."
That's my absolute favourite.

I've seen the tellys without glasses, they're really shit.
In a typical scene, it takes about a minuite to realise it's 3D, and by then it's changed.
