My Le Creuset griddle pan OBVIOUSLY

(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 16:15, 1 reply, 16 years ago)
the Le Creuset ones don't hold up to my requirements
so I'm getting a different one.

What are your requirements?
Do you go spanging of a weekend and need something less heavy to spang with?
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 16:19, Reply)
no
I have a big stainless frying pan with thick copper bottom for that.

I wanted a heavy cast-iron one, with no coating on it at all.

the le creuset ones are good, but they are enamelled on the outside and seemed to have some kind of coating inside.

I'm getting one from my parents and can rely on my mum to get my the right thing.

SPANG SPANG SPANG
I don't believe you!

Also your mum will totally get you the right one, mums always know about pans... and how to clean... its the law or summit!

why not?
my current spanging pan is awesome. I also have a smaller pan for the left hand. Dual-wielding!

she totally will. my mum is great.

I got one cheap
I think amazon cocked up the pricing...I only paid £27 when they can cost as much as £60

This One:

that's nice
not seen the round ones. it is enamelled though, which I didn't want.

I like the pouring spouts and stuff though. looks good
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 16:27, Reply)
Yeah, i'm not sure what the description means
the outside is enamelled, but the inside griddle bit is just cast iron.
(, Wed 9 Dec 2009, 16:30, Reply)
hmmm
the ones I saw in person had some kind of coating inside as well I think. but they were square ones....
