I've never heard of putting one in brine
why would you do that?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 10:53, 1 reply, 16 years ago)
It's meant to be good,
stops it drying out and stuff. Nigella thinks it's good. It's not just salt water though it's got herbs and fruit and stuff in as well.

Sounds good actually
And if Nigella thinks its good it must be!

Takes 2 days though.
I'll give it a bash, what's the worst that can happen?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 11:03, Reply)
nothing can go wrong
let us know how it turns out.

that does sound good
if it's for that many people it's got to be a pretty big turkey, so might be worth a try
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 11:02, Reply)
That's the problem,
it's going to be a massive turkey and so I'm going to have to find a massive bucket.

Just use ym's minge.

bath tub?
get a hippo tub from b&q or the range (if they have them there) or something. that'll probably be best
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 11:16, Reply)
I think my idea is better.

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 11:17, Reply)
I'm thinking double bagged bin liners.

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 11:23, Reply)
it'd work
but might be a bit risky

might impart a bit of a flavour to it as well, which you wouldn't want
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 11:27, Reply)
You can buy mega-massive ziploc bags for just this purpose I believe
Not seen 'em in shops, but you should be able to get them online in time for chrimbo.

Where's TGB when you need her?
Edit: damned real life getting in the way of the submit button.
