How much are tickets?

(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 13:05, 1 reply, 16 years ago)
outrageously expensive £150 each or something
but I love iron maiden and the cult, alice cooper and rammstein put on great shows and the other headliners are classic
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 13:07, Reply)
£157.50
Soooo bloody expensive, and I know it would cost more if you went to see them all separately etc etc.
But right now I do not have £157.50.
Grrr. Wait til I show my bets mate. She'll sell our kidneys to go.

I was going to work the "win some tickets" angle again this year
but it's Iron Maiden, so I have to go. My mrs and I had been carefully saving this year, and recently we have spunked over £300 on these tickets. bought a big flat TV and booked a two week holiday...
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 13:15, Reply)
I spunked over my tv remote control :(

That's your idea of a holiday, is it?
Disgusting.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 13:56, Reply)
Smugly does it!
Where you off to on holiday?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 13:51, Reply)
Outer Hebrides
it's going to be awesome. hopefully I won't have to see any other fuckers for 2 whole weeks.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 13:53, Reply)
Nice one, should be spectacular.
Get a spare battery for yer camera!
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 14:21, Reply)
I will
my mate gave me a £200 pair of Canon binoculars as well which is nice.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 14:28, Reply)
Binoculars are fucking great
I bought a modest set last year in Skye, and they are so bright and crystal clear to look through, a pure joy. If you can get a monoped with an attachment for the binoculars, you are onto a winner. Bracing them against an object isn't always convenient, plus it is well handy for the camera, in fact, shouldn't it BE for the camera and HANDY for the binoculeers.
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 14:36, Reply)
that's not a bad idea
recommend a mono-ped, or one of those gorilla tripod things?
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 14:42, Reply)
This looks cheap and cheerful

Plus you could use it as a handy weapon to bludgeon any troublemakers with.

Manfrotto are the 'big dicks' in the tripod/monopod world, so if you have some moolah to burn then check out what they have on offer.

However, depending on what you are doing, a tripod may not be a bad idea either. i swear by mine. You can set up and just leave it be and wander about, skin up etc, very useful if you have an SLR with a telephoto lens.

The handy added bonus is you can use it to film homemade pr0n.

my brother is going to that
Classic Rock Magazine are starting one in Victoria Park (just a few minutes' walk from my house) next July. The mighty ZZ Top are headlining one day (oh yes) - but sadly pitiful prog wankers Emerson, Lake and fucking Palmer the next.

I'm going to go to the first one. Anyone want to join me?

I'll have a party afterwards...
(, Thu 10 Dec 2009, 13:20, Reply)
