Leave a window open when you sleep.
I always do this when I have a throat infection (like I think I'm getting now) or something similar. It means you're breathing more oxygen, and not breathing in germs all the time you sleep. Yes, I realise it's December and you are up north but it's a top tip none the less.

Also, lots of fruit juice. I don't why it helps but it does. I guess its something to do with vitamins.
