I have friends that refer to hip hop as 'rap'.Fucking arseholes, but either put it to one side or avoid them forever more.

ah but there is such a thing as 'rap'.50 Cent is 'rap' - Lord Finesse, for example, is Hip Hop. They are only distantly related - hip hop & rap I mean, not 50 Cent and the mighty L-O-R-D-F-I-N-E-S-S-E. They might be, I suppose.
