Has anyone ever tried synching their mobile phone with outlook (as in to back it up)?
I just did. Using the windows software "Mobile Device Centre".

It only went and deleted all the contacts on my FUCKING MOBILE PHONE. 2 years and a good couple of hundred worth. No warnings, in fact a red herring saying "if any conflicts, copy to desktop". Did it copy to fucking desktop? Did it fuck! It fucking deleted it straight without warning.

I'm so angry right now I could take a Honda accord and shove it inside a Brazilian supermodel.

I tried it on my old phone. It worked no problem. You're clearly a spastic who doesn't deserve to know 200 people.
yes.

This could easily be the case
but the system is flawed. FLAWED I SAY!

Bullshit. If an idiot like me can do it properly then so can anyone.

I did it too
I copied all my contacts onto my computer to avoid any massive fuck ups like that one described above. The reason I did this is that I'm not a massive retard.

You see this was the intention
the bit "if any conflict, copy to desktop" seemed like a reasonable backup plan to me. It didn't keep it's end of the bargain though.
