Yeah both singles ultimately are owned by Sonybut RATM said they would donate the profits to Shelter.
It's not really about money anyway, it's about some kind of musical integrity, I wouldn't mind so much if Joe was any good, but he's not, he's decidedly average.

he really is averagesome of the other finalists had some personality at least, but he is just another singer with the same sort of voice doing the same sort of songs, which is the last thing we need.
