I'd say it's found new levels of immaturity
for best effect I'd recommend listening in a darkened room while stoned. That's pretty much how we made it.

Quite a chunk of it is improvised with further layers built up after the main theme of each part was laid down.

totally understandable
it's not full of guitar wanking and it's not the same all the way through, so is essentially like listening to a short album.
