My "decent" knivesare shit. My IKEA knives are all of the win. Go figure! (as in sharp choppy ones, not dinner ones!)

i have quite a repertoire of knives i've been evolving for 20something years now...best buy £2.75 chinese cleaver.
favourite £75 yoshikin global deba i got for about thirty quid 12 years ago.
they are my in-laws and i love them BUT they are clumsy, short-sighted fuckers who have never had anything material worth looking after*. on account of that my decent stuff would get buggereded in no time at all.
*this may sound patronising or whatever but i know my Polish family really well. ironically, but not surprisingly, i communicate more easily with them than my own parents.
