One of my mates xboxHis broke and had that problem also it was mega expensive to get them to fix it. (student) so he just bought a new one. So basically what I'm saying is look at how much it is and see if its worth it. Also, get someone you know pay for it on credit card? I did that a number of times with various things. Hope you get it sorted soon.
